In response to the recent increase of community transmission in Melbourne and returning to Stage 3 restrictions in some areas, we've decided to postpone our reopening date to August, which was originally in July.
We in Kensignton-Flemington (postcode 3031) are not affected by the new lockdown measure, however, the decision was made to support our lovely neighbours who are getting through a tough time once again and to encourage our local community's health and safety.
Hope you will understand the circumstances and stay safe.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) has certainly made a huge impact to all of us in every aspect of our lives. We often talk about a negative side of the matter, however I strongly believe there has been a bright side during this isolation time; Cooking At Home.
Given unlimited time at home all of a sudden, it's been amazing to witness people flipping cooking books and rolling up sleeves to try something they'd never thought to cook. Just like those people, my son, husband and I also spent most of the lockdown period thinking about what we would cook and eat for the day and giggled to ourselves how it felt like camping. But it provided us a great sense of going back to basics; Cooking with dedication and sharing it with your loved ones.
As Victorian government restrictions are gradually easing, we are now going to resume our cooking classes from July. It's not a simple and straightforward process to reopen the class, but at the same time I am excited that I can help those people who rediscovered the joy of food to go even further with new Japanese home cooking skills.
To make our class safe and enjoyable for everyone, we are going to take every possible precaution including some changes on class structure and location which are outlined in details here. Our cooking class with the new measures will not be able to run without your support and cooperation. I do hope you will understand our new direction which we believe will best protect not only our students' but everyone's health in our community while we enjoy cooking and sharing Japanese food together.
I am looking forward to welcoming you again to our cooking class in person very soon.
